Today was the day

And the gym finally happened today !

Being the first day, it was quite basic – More of flexing than any working out – some cardio, abductor, little bit of weights.

Zorse and Okapi

They are not names of african tribes. No, not characters from Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy either !

Okapi is a mammal of the Ituri rainforest in central africa. Binomial name: Okapia Johnstoni. It was brought to notice to the world by Sir Harry Johnston who organized the first expedition to Congo in 1901 to collect the specimen. It was brought to my notice by a friend a couple of months ago :o)

Zorse is a creation of man – A cross between Zebra stallion and a Horse mare. Brought to the world by a geneticist, whose name I forget.

The Okapi species is apparently genetically closer to the giraffe & Zorse to a horse. To me they look like some kinda half-painted walls !! :-)
