BRTFF Two dot oh ! :)

Some folks just can’t stop having a good time ! So, BRTFF is back with a bang ! (1st timers: Read as Bangalore Roof top film festival)

Riding on the success of BRTFF launch and the first screening last month, the second of the monthly screenings is this happening this weekend. You’ll notice a few new things this time around – New venue, new sponsors, new BRTFF home on the world wide web, and we’ve got a logo too! Thanks Vatsap & Hari, for concocting the logo and for not buckling under the avalanche of ideas :-) .  Both the logo and the tagline are coolio ! :) You’ll soon see people sporting it on their T-shirts !

Talking of the event this w/e, here are the details. [When]:  Sunday Aug 5, 2007 [Where]: 2nd Floor, Chung-Wah, Church Street, near KC Das, diagonally opposite to Church Street Empire   [Time]: 12pm to 8pmYou’ll find more info at the website.  Though for most part it is arranged, we still could use some help – Anyone who can help with a projector or a screen (or both ) , please put your name on the Wiki or contact the planners/volunteers.

BRTFF is slowly, but surely, becoming a film fest with a difference.  Building on the UnConference model (No audiences, only participants- remember?), it is turning into a potpourri of film makers, critics, buffs & media and providing meaningful platform for independent film makers. Hopefully it will incubate some powerful ideas that gets generated on this forum - In particular, I liked the ’Cut the producer out’  idea from Pawan from July  screening. So, at Chungwah.  Church Street. This Sunday.  Hasta la vista.
